Prong Collars Features and Use Guide

The prong collar is designed to distribute pressure evenly around the dog's neck, avoiding direct pressure on the trachea. When used correctly, it serves as an effective tool for communication through mild pressure, reducing the need for excessive physical force.

Key Features:

  • Even Pressure Distribution: The collar's prongs apply pressure evenly around the neck.

  • Trachea Protection: The design ensures no direct pressure is applied to the dog's trachea.

  • Pressure Points: Allows for effective communication with minimal physical effort.

Important Usage Guidelines:

  • Professional Guidance: We recommend that prong collars be used by professionals or dog owners/handlers/trainers who are educated on their correct use.

  • Avoid Retractable Leads: Prong collars should not be used with retractable (flexi) leads.

  • Remove When Not in Use: These collars are training tools and should not be left on the dog when not actively being used.

Selecting the Right Prong Collar

Material:

  • Stainless Steel: Our prong collars are made from durable stainless steel and black stainless steel.

Factors to Consider:

  1. Breed of Dog: Different breeds may require different collar sizes.

  2. Weight of the Dog: Determines the appropriate prong collar size (small, medium, or large).

  3. Neck Circumference: Helps in adjusting the collar by adding or removing links for a perfect fit.

Measuring Tips:

  • Ensure the collar sits high on the neck and fits snugly to prevent sliding during use.
